Tea-pot Cosy Stands for Moyneyana House

This project was to make a range of "simulated" teapots to display crocheted tea cosies made at the Moyneyana Aged Care Hostel.  The stands were simple in design with a cross-pieced top to add height and width.  The top was then mounted on a circular base to add stability.

The bases were turned up on a wood lathe and the tops cut out on the small band saw.  Various sizes, to suit a range of teapot cosies were made - about thirty in total.

Shedders Denis Lemke, Don Stephens, Shirley Dyson and Heather Templeton did most of the work on these stands which provided a good opportunity for Shirley and Heather to display their wood turning skills.

The teapot cosy stands are simple in design but will be effective when draped with cosies at Moyneyana House.
